MacOS's Archive Utility doesn't support specific encryption.

So it cannot open password-protected 7Zip file.

How can we decompress password-protected 7Zip file?


In order to decompress protected 7Zip file, we can use application for decompressing.


I recommend The Unarchiver.

After install it, you can choose compressed file and do right-click.

Then you can select the menu to open it with "The Unarchiver".
